Inspirational sayings from Hazrat Inayat Khan

The Bowl of Saqi is a compendium of 366 quotations selected from the teachings of Hazrat Inayat Khan, one for each day of the year. Many of the quotes came directly from his lectures, while others came from his personal notebooks, “a collection of some of the most striking and arresting sayings of Pir-o-Murshid,” according to the mureeds who compiled it in the early 1920s.

The Persian word sâqî (sometimes transliterated as saqi, saaqii or saki) literally means
“cup-bearer” or “wine-pourer” and is frequently used in Persian poetry
to describe the glorious Server who continually pours out the wine everlasting to all of mankind.
