Our community has reached the point where we can begin to plan for a dedicated space for our meetings, workshops and seminars. Below, Wajid offers a meditation on planting the seeds for a Universel in Seattle. We invite offers of expertise (in real estate, law, fund-raising, etc.), financial contributions, and visioning. And we invite everyone to join in the Prayer for the Universel with a focus on manifesting a building in Seattle.
Oh thou, who art the Maker, Molder and Builder of the universe,
Build with Thine own hands the Universel
(our temple*) for Thy Divine message of Love, Harmony and Beauty.

Inherent in humanity is a spiritual impulse that prompts us to find a capacity that will hold the combined resonance of our united hearts. Throughout our spiritual journeys we seek a home symbolical of our inner aspirations, and a physical center for the expression of our ideal, of unity of body, heart and soul. Each of our hearts is the true and most immediate temple of worship, and as a place of worship, our heart is a capacity equal to our personal attention and use of the space.
Each spiritual center moves toward a greater spiritual center, from finite to infinite, in response to a divine mandate to bring order out of chaos. The ancient prophets were well aware of this spiritual impulse promoting the unity of life, the Wahdat Al-Wujud, the “Oneness of Being.”
We have an opportunity to surrender ourselves, and what we think of as ourselves, for the greater expression of a circle of interdependence. We seek the means to manifest our next order of unity as an expression of our joint spirituality. Keep in mind that we know from past undertakings of similar aspirations, that the process is more important than the result. You are invited to join this process, this journey, as a spiritual practice, as a commitment to your personal spiritual work.
Undertaking this journey together is our challenge to express the next stage of our spirituality as a group. It offers us, individually, the opportunity to express our commitment in whichever way is appropriate for us in the here and now. I paraphrase Ibn-Arabi who said, “God will reveal Him/Herself to the worshiper, by a glimpse of the working of his/her Divine Orderliness.”
Join us in becoming instrumental to a manifestation of Divine Orderliness in the Seattle Area.
Re-commit yourself to a dimension of the spiritual journey by engaging in this vision of a Center of activities that is the expression of our “Oneness of Being.”
